Broome – again!

On our return from Cape Leveque we stayed in Broome for another 9 days and did some more exploring! The Cable Beach Polo tournament was on which was fun to watch.

Day trip to the Horizontal Falls (up to 11 metre tides!) was sensational which involved flying by seaplane to the floating pontoons at Talbot Bay, high speed boat trips through both falls the larger gap was 20m across and the smaller one was 7.5m across (Chris was very impressed by the 4 x 300hp motors on the back!), yummy bbq barramundi lunch, swim with the sharks in WA’s only shark cage and seaplane home again. One to tick off the bucket list!

Caught up with a couple of local Broome people who we met at Lake Argyle, Kununurra (Lionel & Cheryl) who took us to a couple of great spots. One was Barred Creek which is stunning (but no fish) the other was sunset fish and chips at the local fishing club.
